Guidance for women at the threshold of change.

Supporting women experiencing chronic stress and overthinking to get clear on what they want so they can confidently take action.

You know what you want, but stress is stopping you.

You know something needs to change. You may even know what you want to change.

But when it's time to actually do it—to set the boundary, make the decision, take the step—you freeze.

Your mind spirals. You analyze every angle. You play out worst-case scenarios. The fear takes over the desire for change.

From the outside, your life seems to work. Nothing is obviously falling apart.

Internally, it feels very different. Your mind rarely quiets. Worry runs in the background. Even small decisions drain your energy.

This isn't a motivation problem. Your nervous system has been running in survival mode so long that mechanisms meant to protect you are now keeping you stuck.

Overthinking is stress in motion.

It's your mind searching for certainty because that's what feels safe.

Your nervous system has been running in survival mode so long that it's become your baseline.

You're not lacking insight. Chronic stress is interfering with your ability to move forward.

I understand because I lived it.

After my mom died from early-onset Alzheimer's, I had to face the reality I’d been denying for years. I knew something in my life needed to change. I'd been pushing through for years, and the stress was taking a toll.

But when I thought about actually changing things, my mind filled with all the reasons to stay: my clients who needed me, the stability, the professional identity I'd built.

My mind kept me stuck, even though I knew I couldn't keep living that way.

What finally shifted things wasn't more strategies or better planning.

It was time in nature.

While hiking, my body stopped running in survival mode. My shoulders dropped. My breath slowed (unless I was going uphill). For the first time in months, my mind actually quieted.

Clarity followed. Then, the harder part was deciding what to do with it.

That experience changed how I understand stress, decision-making, and change.

I began to notice the same pattern among the women I worked with. They weren't stuck because they lacked awareness. Chronic stress was consuming the energy they needed to act on what they already knew they wanted.

This work emerged from my profound experience and that realization.

I have now worked with Dr. Stephanie for 3 months and she is simply fabulous! I am always better off after our time together and the perspective she brings to our meetings is always refreshing. It is also great to work with someone who can relate to many emotions and tough times you are going through. Looking forward to continuing to grow through everything with Dr. Stephanie by my side!

This is about change, not just stress management.

Most women I work with aren't stuck because they need more information. They're stuck because stress and overthinking interfere with clarity and action.

Stress fuels fear, second-guessing, and paralysis. That paralysis prevents action. The lack of action creates more stress. The loop reinforces itself.

This work intervenes at the stress layer—not because stress is the whole problem, but because it's the lever that unlocks everything else.

Once stress is addressed:

  • The mind quiets

  • Clarity becomes accessible

  • Action becomes possible

  • Peace becomes real, not aspirational

This isn't about helping you tolerate your life better. It's about regulating enough to confidently change it.

I combine psychological understanding, nature-based regulation, and structured support to help women:

  • Understand how stress operates in their lives

  • Settle their nervous systems so clarity emerges naturally

  • Take action while stress is still present

  • Build change that holds under real pressure

This isn't therapy,  motivational coaching, or surface-level wellness.

It's support for women at the threshold of change who want to move forward without burning out.

Combining psychology, nature-based practice, and lived experience.

After more than a decade as a clinical psychologist, I realized traditional talk therapy wasn't enough. Working only from the top down—trying to think your way through stress—doesn't address what's actually keeping you stuck.

I moved toward bottom-up approaches that work with the body and nervous system first. When I integrate the psychological understanding with nature-based regulation and lived experience, that's when real change becomes possible.

This work exists to empower women to live the life of their dreams, not just manage the one they're in.
